Mrs. Sadie Long, a life resident of Crawfordsville, died Sunday afternoon at Lane House. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Women’s Relief Corps, Flower Lovers Club and Pythian Sisters. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Marion (Ruth) Blacker of Dayton, Ohio, and Mrs. Hurshell (Beulah) Kindell of Crawfordsville; a son, Forest Haas of Lafayette; a sister, Mrs. Harriett LaBau of Danville, Ill.; a brother, Fred Shinnaman; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and a niece. Private family services will be conducted Tuesday morning in the Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Kinney officiating. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery. There will be no visitation. – jlr
